Hyder Ventures is an investment fund and more. With a commitment to support early-stage companies emerging from north Wales that has the potential to have a global reach, Hyder Ventures provides investment, tech services, and compliance and regulatory support as needed. It also offers an accelerator programme with pre seed funding and the possibility of follow-on funding for companies committing to basing themselves in the area for those right at the beginning of their journey.
Working in partnership with Bangor University in the first place, the first two spin-out companies were identified as part of a hackathon; Neural Arcade and Pelagic Paint.
The next hackathon is scheduled in partenership with Wrexham University for February 2027.
